Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from its electrical outlet.

Step 2: The refrigerator door should be opened and the lower kickplate should be removed. This will expose the bulb housing.

Step 3: The screws securing the bulb housing should be taken out with a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 4: The bulb housing should be gently extracted and the electrical connections linked to it should be detached.

Step 5: The lightbulb should be taken out from the housing. If needed, a pair of pliers should be employed to grasp the bulb's base and twist it softly to unscrew.

Step 6: The new bulb should be grabbed and placed into the bulb housing. It should ensure that it is firmly positioned and that the wiring is correctly connected.

Step 7: The bulb housing should be reattached and the Phillips head screwdriver should be utilized to fasten it securely.

Step 8: The lower kickplate should be reinstalled and the refrigerator should be reconnected to its electrical source.

Step 9: The power should be switched back on and it should be verified that the new bulb functions properly.
